Mediaset chooses Nagra for OTT service

Italian broadcaster Mediaset has chosen Nagra to supply conditional access for its over-the-top video-on-demand service.

Nagra will supply its Nagra Media Persistent Rights Management (PRM) technology to enable Mediaset to deliver multiscreen VOD via a Nagra-certified hardware-based ‘route of trust’.

Nagra’s PRM integrates with Mediaset’s adaptive streaming technology to deliver content to the latter’s Mediaset Premium subscribers via connected TVs, set-tops, PCs or smart devices.
