Italian broadcaster Mediaset, Elettronica Industriale and DMT have entered exclusive negotiations to create a unified broadcast and mobile tower infrastructure provider.
The integration project will provide for the demerger of the business unit that owns the broadcast towers of Elettronica Industriale into DMT or the creation of a new company to be merged into DMT. As a result of the merger, it is anticipated that Mediaset subsidiary RTI, which owns Elettronica Industriale, will own a stake of at least 60% in DMT, which will continue to be listed on the Italian stock exchange.
The deal is subject to approval by the parties involved and regulator CONSOB. â¨
