The number of households passed by fibre-to-the-home and fibre-to-the-building networks in Portugal stood at 1.4 million at the end of September, according to figures from regulator Anacom.
The number of homes with access to EuroDOCSIS 3.0 high-speed cable networks stood at 3.4 million, giving a total of 4.8 million homes with access to high-speed networks of all sorts, up from four million at the end of 2009.
The number of subscribers to FTTH and EuroDOCSIS 3.0 cable services or the equivalent numbered 225,000, up from 88,000 at the end of last year.
