Sweden-based Next Generation Broadcastings African pay TV service Smart TV is close to launching in Uganda, according to local reports.
Smart TV, which has already launched services in Ghana and Kenya, will compete with MultiChoice Uganda/DStv, Star Times, Pearl Digital TV and Kampala SITI Cable in the competitive Ugandan market. However the timing of the launch will depend on the readiness of digital infrastructure provided by the Uganda Broadcasting Corporation, the countryÂs national broadcaster, according to the reports.
