Russian IPTV middleware provider Netris has added closed-circuit television capability to its over-the-top TV platform, WebView.
The Netris WebView CCTV Edition offers Internet users OTT services in combination with video surveillance, allowing recording, viewing and storing or archiving of video.
“CCTV allows the operator to connect an unlimited number of cameras to a centralised system for recording and storage of the video. The user can restrict access to the video in his personal account”, says Murad Efendiev, CEO of Netris. “There is an exceptionally wide range of potential uses for example from ensuring control over the childrens safety to a promotional advertising campaign. The real benefit is in providing an easy way for a user with no special knowledge to manage the video camera or surveillance installation”.
