Former Target and Nat Geo executive Ian Jones has joined A&E Television Networks as international distribution boss.
Jones will become managing director, content distribution and commercial development for AETN International and will manage the company’s 8,000-hour programme library. He will be responsible for distributing series including Ice Road Truckers, Gene Simmons Family Jewels and Steven Seagal: Lawman as well as a raft of factual series.
He will join the company in December, relocating to New York, and will report to Sean Cohan, SVP, international. Jones was previously managing director at Target Entertainment and before that he was president of National Geographic Television International.
