Playboy has recorded a 12%, or US$4 million (Â2.9 million), year-on-year decline in revenue across its international TV networks in its latest quarterly results. Revenues for the division were about US$33 million. The adult content company said the reverse was due to lower sales in Europe and increased competition for customers, particularly in the UK. It expects these challenges to continue it added.
ÂWe continue to experience many of the same challenges our partners and competitors in the media industry are facing, namely increased competition for consumers attention in the face of volatile overall spending in the television and print businesses, the migration of advertisers to other platforms and the uncertainty created by the state of the global economy, the company said in a financial filing.
