Swisscom sees near doubling of IPTV base

Swisscom had 358,000 IPTV subscribers at the end of September, up 92.5% year-on-year. The telco added 41,000 TV subscribers in the third quarter.

The company had 1.553 million retail broadband access customers, up 7.8%. Broadband subscribers for Swisscom’s Fastweb Italian subsidiary numbered 1.712 million, up 6.7%.

Swisscom posted revenues of CHF8.976 billion (€6.665 billion) for the first nine months, up 0.6%. Net income was CHF1.408 billion, down 8.2%.
