Lagardère Active, the media arm of the French conglomerate, reported revenues of Â1.289 billion for the first nine months of the year, up from Â1.226 billion year-on-year. However, revenues at the Lagardère Entertainment TV arm fell in the third quarter due to the low number of programme deliveries during the period. Lagardère Entertainment revenues for the first nine months were up slightly on the previous year.
Lagardère said the Active unitÂs revenue grew by 5.6% in the third quarter, compared with growth of only 0.6% for the first half, thanks to a strong recovery in the advertising market, notably for its magazines business. The company said it expected the pace of year-on-year ad revenue growth for the rest of the year to be less strong than in the third quarter.
