Deutsche Telekom had 1.042 million Entertain IPTV customers in Germany at the end of the third quarter, up from 971,000 at the end of June and 678,000 a year earlier. The company said a total of 1.4 million Entertain products had been sold at the end of the period, representing those already connected and those sold but not yet connected.
The company plans to push a combined Entertain and home gateway strategy in Germany to make it the countrys pay TV leader.
Overall in Europe, TelekomÂs IPTV base grew by 34%, driven by Croatia and Slovakia. Deutsche Telekom posted revenues of Â15.6 billion for the quarter, down 4.1%, and EBITDA of Â4.8 billion, down 11.7%.
