Danish cable operator YouSee, owned by telco TDC, saw its YouSee Plus digital pay TV service grow by 17.4% year-on-year to 155,000 subscribers at the end of September, while its YouSee Clear basic offer had 1.18 million customers, up by 2.6% year-on-year.
TDC also had 116,000 IPTV subscribers, up 50.6%. The telco had a total 1.451 million TV customers at the end of September, up 6.8% year-on-year. Triple-play subscribers numbered 108,000, up 66.2%, while dual-play customers grew 56.5% to 288,000.
TV, together with mobile broadband, was the chief contributor to a 70,000 year-on-year growth in RGUs for the Danish telco, taking its total to 8.8 million. TDC Group revenue grew for the first nine months grew by 0.2% to DKK19.6 billion (Â2.6 billion), while EBITDA grew by 2.4% to DKK8 billion.
