Eastern Europe boosts fibre growth, says FTTH Council Europe

European fibre-to-the-home and building subscribers now number 3.2 million, up by 22% over the last six months, according to figures supplied by the FTTH Council Europe.

FTTH and FTTB homes combined including Russia number 4.5 million, according to the FTTH Council Europe, with over 18 million homes passed in Europe, or 26 million including Russia.

Lithuania led the way in terms of penetration, with 21%, followed by Sweden with 13%, Norway with 12%, Slovenia with 11% and Slovakia with 9%.
