Belgacom profits slide

Belgium’s Belgacom reported a 7.9% year-on-year decrease in net profit of €199 million in 3Q10 and an 11% increase in revenues of €1.6 billion. The company blamed rules that limit the charges it can levy on customers for the profit decrease. Belgacom’s IPTV service had 920,000 customers at the end of the quarter, a 39% year-on-year increase.
