Telenor Broadcast contributed organic revenues of NOK2.237 billion (275 million) to the Nordic telco’s top line for the third quarter, up 4% year-on-year, while EBITDA was NOK619 million, up 19%.
The Canal Digital pay TV division posted revenues of NOK1.732 billion for the third quarter, up from NOK1.679 billion a year earlier, thanks to the sale of additional services to its subscribers and price increases, while Telenor’s transmission and encryption businesses reported sales of NOK616 million, up from NOK567 million.
Telenor Broadcast saw DTH subscribers across its territories fall by 14,000 during the quarter, but ARPU grew in all markets. The company also saw an increase of 8,000 subscribers to its Norwegian cable operation.
