Akado completes DOCSIS upgrade

Russian service provider Akado has completed to modernisation of its DOCSIS cable network in Moscow.

The Moscow network upgrade means that Akado will be able to offer high-bandwidth services to about 600,000 households and increase its network capacity by about 40%. The company is also positioned to begin to transition to DOCSIS 3.0 to offer ultra-fast internet services. Akado has invested about US$4 million (€3 million) in the project.
