Russian service provider Akado has completed to modernisation of its DOCSIS cable network in Moscow.
The Moscow network upgrade means that Akado will be able to offer high-bandwidth services to about 600,000 households and increase its network capacity by about 40%. The company is also positioned to begin to transition to DOCSIS 3.0 to offer ultra-fast internet services. Akado has invested about US$4 million (3 million) in the project.
