Nordic telco TeliaSonera said that it grew its IPTV base in all markets in the third quarter, with Finlands Sonera passing the 200,000 subscriber milestone. Overall, TeliaSoneraÂs TV base rose by 147,000 in the quarter to 900,000.
In Sweden, TeliaSonera said it sold over 1.5 million video-on-demand rentals so far this year, compared with 1.2 million for the full year in 2009. TeliaSonera-owned Lithuanian telco Teo had 121,600 TV customers at the end of the quarter, up 33% year-on-year.
Broadband subscriptions remained flat during the quarter at 2.4 million, while fixed voice subscriptions fell by 172,000 to 4.8 million.
TeliaSonera posted sales of SEK26.754 billion (Â2.9 billion) for the quarter, down 1.1%. EBITDA increased 0.1% to SEK9.776 billion.
