France 24 launching French-language channel in Asia

News channel France 24 has taken additional C-band capacity on the AsiaSat 5 platform to begin distribution of its French-language channel and enhance the reach of its English-language feed in Asia.

Franch 24 launched the English-language service on AsiaSat 5 in 2009, giving it access to three million homes in Asia via carriage deals with cable, DTH and IPTV platforms.
