Arte names Cayla as new chief

Cultural channel Arte has named Véronique Cayla as its new president.

Cayla, who is currently president of the country’s National Centre for Cinema and the Moving Image (CNC), will replace Gottfried Langenstein as president of the umbrella body for Arte France and Germany in January. The move also opens the way for the appointment of Cayla as head of Arte France by the channel’s general assembly in March, replacing Jérôme Clément.
