NBC Universal sees profits fall

NBC Universal has posted third-quarter revenues of US$4.07bn (€2.92bn), down from US$4.08bn last year.

Profit for the quarter fell to US$625m from US$732m year-on-year. However, profit rose by about 5% when impairment charges and a US$283m gain from the merger of the A&E cable channel with Lifetime were excluded.

Comcast is currently buying a majority stake in the US broadcaster, currently owned by GE.
