Russian service provider Comstar-UTSs regional unit has begun constructing a fibre-to-the-building network in the city of Novocherkassk in the Rostov region in southern Russia.
Comstar Regions is building a FTTB network that will pass about 3,500 apartments, offering internet speeds of up to 100Mbps to subscribers.
Comstar Regions begun constructing FTTB networks in Astrakhan and Taganrog earlier this summer, and put a FTTB network passing over 9,500 apartments in Krasnodar into commercial operation in June.
Novocherkassk has a population of about 180,000.
