CSA extends DTT on-demand trial

French media regulator the CSA has extended the permission granted to pay-digital-terrestrial TV service provider TV Numéric and transmission services provider TDF to trial on-demand services over the DTT network.

The pair won an extension until November 30 to complete tests the delivery of on-demand services downloaded to set-tops over the airwaves via the R1 DTT multiplex in Rouen in Normandy.

Also in Normandy, the CSA has granted approval to regional channel Normandie TV to test interactive services on the R1 multiplex on condition that it provides more detailed information of the modifications it has in mind and takes measures to prevent any interference with other channels using the multiplex.
