Sogecable chooses Thomson encoders for Digital Plus

Sogecable’s Canal Satélite Digital unit, which operates the Digital Plus pay-TV platform in Spain, has expanded its installation of Thomson Video Networks encoders and related technology.

The Spanish company has installed new Thomson ViBE EM3000 HD Encoders and NetProcessor 9030 multiplexers at its facility in Tres Cantos, Madrid. The new compression system was installed with on-site start-up services from Thomson, which provided integration with the broadcaster’s existing XMS network management system.
