Portugal-based video-on-demand aggregator New Media Digital Contents has chosen on-demand technology provider Tvinci to provide its MediaHub and MediaStore platforms to create a white-label subscription and pay-on-demand service for the EMEA and Latin America regions.
The service, based on New Medias FilmBox concept, will be supplied to telcos, retailer and consumer electronics manufacturers for the delivery of video on multiple devices. FilmBox will be rolled out in the first quarter of next year, according to New Media. In addition to content deals with Hollywood studios and others, the service will provide content security, preparation and ingestion.
New MediaÂs existing VOD platform partners include KPN, Portugal Telecom, Telefónica of Spain, Vodafone Portugal and Cogeco (Cabovisão).
