Spanish broadcaster La Sexta has raised strong concerns about the possible anti-competitive impact of the proposed merger of free and pay-TV provider Sogecable and Mediaset-owned Telecinco.
CEO José Miguel Contreras said the deal, along with the involvement of Telefónica in Sogecable-backed pay-TV provider Digital Plus, posed a serious threat to competition.
