Euronews gains Nordic and Baltic coverage

Pan-European news channel Euronews has struck a carriage agreement with Modern Times Group-owned pay-TV operator Viasat for distribution in Scandinavia and the Baltic states.

Euronews is available on the Viasat satellite platform in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania in English and Russian, and in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden in English. It said that other languages may be added in the future. The agreement, along with EuronewsÂ’ agreement in August for distribution on the Viasat Ukraine platform, takes the channel to 890,000 homes across the eight countries.
