French IPTV provider Free has staked its claim to be the first service provider in France to offer a 3D service.
Free says it will offer four new 3D channels and two on-demand services.
NRJ12 3D is launched on the platform today in the basic pack, followed by WildearthTV 3D in October. Music channel Brava 3D will follow as an option, with Penthouse 3D set to follow in 2011.
On-demand services FHV 3D and Marc Dorcel 3D will be launched by the end of the year. The services will be available to subscribers with an HD set-top and an adequate broadband connection.
