BBC to share US Masters golf with Sky

The BBC has renewed its contract to air coverage of the US Masters golf tournament, but will be forced to share the rights with pay-TV provider BSkyB for the first time.

Under the terms of the deal, the BSkyB will have exclusive rights to air the first two days of the tournament, with coverage of the final two days being shared with the UK public broadcaster.

The BBC had feared losing all rights to the competition to Sky.
