UPC Austria offers free HD decoders

Cable operator UPC Austria is offering free HD decoders to triple-play subscribers. The operator offers HD services as part of its FIT and Super FIT triple-play services.

The box will be offered free-of-charge to subscribers until the end of December. Subscribers to the top-tier Top FIT package will continue to receive a free HD DVR as part of their package.

UPC offers HD versions of public and commercial channels free of charge, while an HD pay-TV service, including National Geographic, Fashion TV and Rush, is available to Top FIT subscribers and to subscribers of other packages for €2.
