Broadcast services provider Arqiva has selected Thomson Broadcast (formerly the transmission division of Grass Valley) for the high-power sites of its new DVB-T2 network for terrestrial high-definition services in the UK.
Thomson Broadcast is deploying 16 high-power DCX Paragon MSDC-IOT transmitters with an output power up to 20kW. The first on-air installation is set for later this year. Thomson Broadcast will also upgrade the four already installed DVB-T DCX Paragon transmitters with new high-performance DVB-T2 Sirius exciters
