Humax to add DVR to Freeview HD box

Set-top vendor Humax has added recording functionality to its HD-FOX T2 set-top box for Freeview HD, providing users with a range of single tuner recording features and media playback and content-sharing services.

Launching in early October, the new software will enable users of the set-top to pause, rewind and record live TV by plugging a USB external hard drive into the box. 

Humax is arranging a slot for an automatic over-the-air download of the new software, which will also be available to download manually on the Humax website. All HD-FOX T2 boxes shipped to the UK from October will include the new software as standard.
