Entone launches new hybrid set-top for Europe

US-based technology company Entone has launched a new hybrid HD set-top for live broadcast and OTT services.

The European version of Kamai features integrated 802.11 b/g/n WiFi capabilities that enables the streaming of high-quality HD video. It also includes a 1100 DMIPS processor with hardware accelerated 3D graphics support. Customers using the device can watch content live while accessing internet content using the same remote control and user interface.

The company has also launched its WebVOD Hybrid TV solution that can be integrated with middleware platforms to enhance IPTV services. Entone says that by downloading the WebVOD application to subscribers’ set-top boxes, IPTV operators can offer hybrid TV services, including VOD content delivered over the internet.
