UPC Romania and UPC Slovakia launch new channels

UPC Romania and UPC Slovakia have announced new channel additions. 

UPC Romania has added six new channels, including one HD channel, to its line-up.

HD subscribers can now watch Discovery HD Showcase, which features programming based on travel, nature, lifestyle, science, natural history and culture. In addition to this new channel, those who subscribe to Digital TV Medium HD and Digital TV Large HD Packages can also watch HD TVR, PRO TV HD, HBO HD, Eurosport HD, Sports.ro HD, History HD, National Geographic HD, UTV HD and Fashion TV HD.

The cable operator has also added E! Entertainment, TCM, Movies 24, Cartoon Network and Log TV to its channel line-up.

In Slovakia, UPC subscribers can now watch Discovery HD Showcase, Discovery World, Discovery Science, Discovery Travel & Living, Nat Geo Music and France 24. This takes the total number of channels available on the cable platform to over 120, including eight in HD.

Discovery HD Showcase and France 24 are available in the Basic package. The remaining new channels form part of the Plus package.
