Tele Columbus to offer 100Mbps next month

German cable operator Tele Columbus will launch a DOCSIS 3.0-based 100Mbps broadband service next month.

From October, customers in 10 regions will be able to choose broadband packages consisting of 100Mbps, 50Mbps, 32Mbps, 16Mbps or 6Mbps. The service will launch in Berlin, Potsdam, Chemnitz, Halle, Zwickau, Freital, Riesa and Erfurt.

Separately, cable operator Unitymedia has upgraded its network in Wiesbaden, where customers can now receive broadband speeds of up to 128Mbps.
