Canal Plus grows sub base but revenues remain flat

Pay-TV channel Canal Plus had 5.3 million subscribers in France, its overseas departments and Africa at the end of June, an increase of 141,000 year-on-year. 

The pay-TV provider said its subscription sales rose by 39% in the first half compared with the prior year.

Revenues were flat year-on-year at €897m for the six months to June, with subscription revenues falling by €7m to €798m.
