Food Network gobbles up new distribution deals

Scripps and Chellomedia have inked a raft of new carriage deals for their culinary-themed channel Food Network.

The channel launches today in the digital package of the Delta Kabel platform in the Netherlands – where it is already carried on CAIW.
In Cyprus, Scripps and Chellomedia have cut a carriage deal with Cytavision, the second agreement in the country after it launched on Cablenet in June.

In Bulgaria the high definition feed of the channel has been added to Blizoo’s HD package.

The channel is operated as a joint-venture between Scripps and Chellomedia in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. In Asia it is run by Scripps alone. It has just inked a carriage deal with DishHD in Taiwan and the channel is being carried on the platform from today.
