French conglomerate Lagardère has appointed a new boss for its youth division. Karine Leyzin, formerly head of programming for Lagardère’s digital terrestrial family-skewed channel Gulli, has been appointed delegate director in charge of programming and schedules of Lagardère Active’s Youth and Women TV division.
She will then manage channels Gulli, Canal J, Tiji, June as well as the international channels the group has launched abroad.
She partly replaces Pierre Belaisch, former managing director, programming and schedules for Lagardère Active’s TV division, which also comprises music channels MCM and Mezzo.
She will also assume some of the duties previously handled by Emmanuelle Guilbart, the outgoing general director at Lagardère Active who has just been announced as a senior executive at French public broadcaster France Télévisions.
