Modern Times Group (MTG)-owned Viasat Broadcasting has struck a licensing deal with NBC Universal International Television Distribution for exclusive basic cable TV rights in Hungary to feature films, drama series and mini-series.
Films including The Bourne Supremacy, 2 Fast 2 Furious and Inside Man will air on the Viasat 3 and TV6 channels in Hungary. TV highlights include medical dramas House, MD and Royal Pains, as well as Warehouse 13.
The deal is the second exclusive agreement struck by Viasat with NBC Universal in as many weeks. The company previously announced that it had struck an exclusive licensing agreement with NBC Universal for exclusive pay-TV rights in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland to current and upcoming feature films for its thematic premium movie channels within the TV1000 family.
