New antipiracy body for Africa to launch in February

A new body to combat media piracy in Africa is to launch at the DISCOP Africa programming market in Accra, Ghana in February 2011.

Africa Media Rights Watch, which is supported by international broadcasters including Canal Plus Overseas, M-Net and Côté Ouest as well as by African associations of broadcasters and content producers, aims to help establish a business environment that is respectful of copyright laws and measures to enforce them.
