French ISPs in fresh move against Hadopi law

French internet service providers association the FDN has launched a legal procedure contesting certain measures that are part of the country’s Hadopi “three strikes” internet piracy law ahead of the planned full implementation of the law in September.

The FDN has challenged a measure that sets out the procedures to be adopted by the commission for the protection of rights, the body that will administer the Hadopi law. While the FDN is unlikely to be able to prevent the proposed measures being implemented, it reportedly could succeed in delaying the application of the law.
