TechniSat launches 3D TV for PC products

Set-top and CPE vendor TechniSat has announced plans to launch two new PC products designed to enable the reception of free-to-air satellite channels, including 3D channels, for viewing, recording and editing on a PC.

Both the SkyStar USB HD and the SkyStar 2 eXpress HD products are supplied with DVBViewer TE2 software and can be used to view 3D services, including the Astra 3D Promo channel broadcast from Astra’s 23.5° East orbital position. A plug-in for DVBViewer TE2 processes the 3D transmission and presents 3D video that can be viewed using red/cyan anaglyph glasses.
