Mediaset launches Premium via CI Plus

Mediaset has begun offering its pay-TV service Mediaset Premium without the need for a set-top box.

Customers with a TV equipped with a CI Plus module can purchase a Mediaset Premium CAM for €69 to receive the Italian broadcaster’s pay-TV channels. A HD version costs €99 and both CAMs come with one month of free access to Mediaset’s cinema and TV series channels.

Separately, Mediaset is launching iPad apps for its Sportmediaset and Tgcom websites in time for the start of the new football season. The broadcaster said Sportmediaset recorded its highest ever figures in June with 166,000,000 page views and 5,200,000 unique visitors.
