BBC Worldwide Channels has appointed Ian McDonough to the role of senior-vice president and general manager, EMEA.
Formerly vice-president commercial development, McDonough takes over from outgoing EMEA head Dean Possenniskie with immediate effect. He will oversee the day-to-day management of the existing portfolio of localised channels in Europe, Middle East and Africa BBC Entertainment, BBC Knowledge, BBC Lifestyle, CBeebies and BBC HD Â while continuing to secure opportunities for new channel launches. He will report to Darren Childs, managing director, BBC Worldwide Channels.
