CSA postpones Nord-Pas-de-Calais switchover

French media regulator the CSA has postponed digital switchover in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region until the beginning of February 2011.

Switchover in the area was originally due to take place on December 7. The CSA said the postponement, which means that switchover will take place at the same time as those in Picardie and Haute-Normandie, was for technical reasons and would result in a smoother switchover process.

February next year will see almost 26.8 million French citizens move to digital-only reception.
