Swisscom launches HD VOD

Swisscom has launched a high-definition on-demand service.

A selection of Hollywood blockbusters, including Avatar, The Hurt Locker and Up In The Air, are available in HD from CHF7.50 (€5.50) per film. The Swiss cable operator is offering its customers one HD film for free to promote the service.

Swisscom’s on-demand service is currently available in Zurich and Graubünden. It will launch in Basle this autumn with the remaining network being upgraded next year.
