TeliaSonera grows TV base

Swedish and Finnish telco TeliaSonera’s digital TV subscriber base grew by 131,000 year-on-year to 800,000 at the end of June, according to the company’s latest financials. About 36% of TeliaSonera’s broadband subscribers also take TV services from the company.

Overall broadband subscriptions rose by 75,000 year-on-year to 2.4 million.

TeliaSonera announced earlier this month that it was selling Danish cable and telecom subsidiary Stofa to private-equity group Ratos for DKK1.1bn (€148m) on a cash and debt-free basis.
