Set-top provider Strong is to license the Thomson brand to distribute a range of high-end and free-to-air satellite, terrestrial, cable and IPTV set-tops in Europe and selected countries in the Middle East and Africa.
The Thomson brand is being licensed from Technicolor (the new name for Thomson), which will retain ownership of the brand. Thomson changed its name to Technicolor in February as part of a major refocusing of its business.
