France 24 app passes one million downloads

France 24 has announced that its smartphone app has been downloaded over one million times.

The news broadcaster said nearly 80% of France 24 Live downloads came from outside France. Europe accounts for 50% of downloads, Africa 20%, North America 15% and Asia almost 15%.

The free app allows users to watch live or on-demand France 24 channels in French, English and Arabic.
