Astra drops adult channels

International satellite operator Astra has voluntarily dropped 30 hardcore adult channels from its German coverage.

The operator had been lobbied by the country’s Commission for the Protection of Minors in the Media (KJM) and decided to drop the adult channels, which were previously available unscrambled to subscribers. The operator also agreed not to add any more unscrambled adult channels to its service in the future.
