Red Bee provides playout for Five HD

UK commercial channel Five has appointed media services provider Red Bee Media to handle playout services for Five HD, the HD version of the channel launched yesterday on the BSkyB and Virgin Media platforms.

Five HD will offer a range of shows including new live entertainment series Don’t Stop Believing, which premieres on July 18, Australian soaps Neighbours and Home & Away, US series The Mentalist, Grey’s Anatomy, Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and sports coverage including Cricket on Five and Europa League football.

Red Bee already provides a range of media services to Five.
