Telekom Austria completes corporate restructure

Telekom Austria Group has completed the reorganisation of its corporate structure that sees all of its operations in eight CEE countries being steered by management holding company Telekom Austria AG.

In Austria, the Mobile Communication and Fixed Net segments have been merged into new company A1 Telekom Austria. The telco said this was in response to the global trend towards convergence of fixed net and mobile communication services. Hannes Ametsreiter, CEO Telekom Austria Group, said: “The new corporate structure will enable a more intensive exchange of knowledge at the Group level and, therefore, strengthen our innovative power. Furthermore, we will be able to leverage cross-country synergy potential and enhance our efficiency, providing more added value for our customers.”
